Yesterday, after watching the price of the Rogue move up and down over a year and across three states and even trying CarWoo (which is a great service but not one we had success with), Mr. B and I found a great price on the Rogue in Delaware, two hours away from our house.  We ran from work, skipped dinner, ran to my car, and I gnashed my teeth through rush-hour traffic to make it to the dealership in time.

I’ve written before how I miss the Old Jezebel and Good Content for Women. The Hairpin, one of my new faves, alerted me to the new ladysite opened by Jane Pratt, formerly of Jane, which I loved growing up, and Sassy, which everyone else loved but I missed.

This is what we come home to every day, in a variety of rooms:

(whom I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in person before) and I recently had a discussion on Twitter about charity.  On Friday, I tweeted a link which made me feel guilty and want to give more money to charity, and then another link which made me feel guilty for feeling guilty.  So, I wondered,

I love flowers, so here are some flowers in my new kitchen. They are tulips from the white people store.  I love the late afternoon light in my kitchen. One day, Simba, I will show you all of our realm. Probably when we are unpacked more.

Hopefully in a couple hours, we will be homeowners.  If not, Monday will also be Link Day, only it will just be a list of links of liquor stores in the tristate area.

I’m at home for the weekend, and since that usually entails eating crazy amounts of food while watching Russian movies, I’m too lazy for links this week.
