Last night was the coldest night in Philadelphia on record*, so me and my 12 imaginary diseases decided to head out into it to attend the Academy of Vocal ArtsRussian Romance performance with a group of Mr. B’s family.

This Post is Morbid as Hell

During the first couple hours that Mr. B and I part ways on Sundays, I am extremely vulnerable to bawling. I don’t pick up the phone and I go do activities that minimize my contact with people I know so I don’t implode on them.  This weekend I happened to be in DC to run a mountain of errands including cleaning out as much of our apartment as we could, looking at new cars, getting Mr. B a haircut, shopping for a new cell phone for him, going to holiday parties, and other activities that almost make me feel like I’m married again.

Two nights ago marked the start of Hanukah, which is a Jewish holiday that will give me the excuse to tell Mr. B that we probably lost our menorah in the move and, pretty please can I buy a new one. Thank you Maccabees for giving me an excuse to check out some of these. (This one is my favorite, and, at only $328, costs only slightly more than my entire wardrobe!)
